Orchid seed pods, Unknown Variety

These couple seed pods of an unknown orchid, brought home by my wife. She took them from her mother's garden. Maybe later on can confirm the variety from the flowers. I think I need to try and learn how to sow the seed at home. Found this article that explains quite elaborately on how to do it.

The tiger orchid, Grammatophyllum scriptum blooms again

I am so grateful that this orchid has been consistently flowering at about the same time every year, every early May till late June each blooms..

This year was extra special since there are five of them whereby normally only 2 or 3 spikes only. Brought the orchid about eight years ago and it started flower on the fifth year.

Sunset at UTHM

I was returning home last Tuesday, it was a little bit late and the sun is just about to set. Nobody and not a single car was at sight so I park the car by the road and took this picture. Sometimes work can be so stressful but seeing something like this makes your heart feel warm and cozy.

The picture was taken at the deserted road in front of Tunku Mahkota Ismail Hall of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).

Blooms a few days ago, looks like a bird of sort. Searching the net I suppose it is a Catasetum Pileatum or something similar.

These blooms however did not last very long, it blooms just for about a week or so then it wilted.

Even so it still a beautiful flower nonetheless.
